Wednesday

This is all I ask . . .

Nat King Cole, prevalent in my father's repertoire of music choices . . . and then you find yourself telling someone about a song of his and you are right back there hearing it . .  and it's skip. Yes yes yes, the vinyl skipped at the same place e v e r y single time it played . . . making it a memory that each sibling knows to the bone!!    Really, the song was written no other way! I tell you!

"Wandering rainbows, leave a bit of color for my heart to own
Stars in the sky, make my wish come true before the night has flown
And let the music playyyyyy as longggg as there's a song to sing
to sing
to sing
to sing

Then I will stay younger than Spring."

(I guess it was a Sinatra song, but in our home, Nat King Cole sang it day in and day out).
