I know, what does that even mean? The dog days are over! Well, that's the song playing while posting these NEW designs for the fabulous organic lavender dryer sachets.
It's a great tune I came across by Florence and the Machine. Goes something like. . .
Happiness hit her like a train on a track
Coming towards her still no turning back
. . .
Leave all your love and your longing behind
You can't carry it with you if you want to survive
. . .
And I never wanted anything from you
Except everything you had and what was left after that too
. . .
The dog days are over
The dog days are done
Can you hear the horse?
So you better run

When it Rains, It Pours 1000 Ideas!
Mom always said, "when it rains, it pours"! Excited to receive an email from the talented Garth Johnson - Craft Family, LLC from www.extremecraft.com, "that you (me) made it to the final, published version!" Seems too that I'll be hearing from the publisher soon. AS soon as I know what number in the 1,000 amazing reuse inclusions I am, I'll post . . . yessiree!
There's a quick inside peek over here on Amazon too. The book will be released on November 1st in the United States, followed by other international versions. Thanks Garth!

I came across a quote. . . recently. . .
one I had never read before. . . and I related it to last month's Earth Day, Week and Month. Our shop had a great month on Etsy and locally with my recycled art, beach glass and tshirt market bags. Thank you to all the supportive customers, friends and family who encourage me along the way. Now, back to the quote which brought on my thoughts:
Maybe making small steps to be more earth friendly.
Ridiculed...that may be a harsher word than I would use myself, but I know when recycling became a real thing in my community, I mumbled and grumbled. . . that's right, I didn't jump right on board. I didn't know enough about the benefits of using less. I tossed the wrong bottle into the wrong bag in those days. I don't think I'm alone in this past life, but I do know that once enlightened, it would be hard to go back, to waste without a thought, surely this quote makes sense for the planet too. Is it not self-evident that we can make a difference one person at a time?
Earth Day is everyday.
Just two cents and a quote. Oh, and, from the 1800s...oh my!
"All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident."
Arthur Schopenhauer
German philosopher (1788 - 1860)
